Easy College Student Jobs



College classes are tough. You spend more time studying for each class than you actually do sitting in them. And you still need to get a job to earn that spending money so you can go out and relax! How do you find the really easy college student jobs?

If you define easy by not taking much mental work, there are a bunch that fit the bill. The first thing that pops to mind is fast food.

Once you learn the ropes at a quick service restaurant, you can work steadily, filling orders, and doing a great job without too much thinking.

However, if you’re hoping for something that’s easy on your body, too, that’s probably not the one for you!

How about assisting at one of the computer labs on campus? This takes a little more mental power, as you’ll have to help students who have problems with the computers, but it’s not physically demanding at all. Same goes for working in the library or the media center.

Many retail outlets are easy places to work. They require little effort besides being on your feet, stocking shelves, or manning a register.

Other retailers have intense training and expect good customer interaction. While it’s not as easy, per se, it’s a much more rewarding environment to work in.

A great place to look for an easy college student jobs is on an online listing site like Craigslist. Be careful and check out any job you find on there thoroughly, but it can be a good resource.

Your school’s career services department is also a great resource. They can point you to any number of places willing to hire college students. It’s up to you, then, to decide if there are any that you can handle in addition to your heavy study schedule.

You may find, after looking at all your options, that easy college student jobs aren’t exactly what you’re looking for. Keep in mind that something in your field of study will help you get a job after college, and jobs that are more difficult tend to pay better, too!
