Part Time Jobs For College Students

Nanny – Yes, you can be a nanny on a part-time basis. Many families with school-aged children only need someone available in the hours between school and when the parents get home in the evening.
Your duties could include homework help, snacks, refereeing arguments (although this isn’t usually listed!), and possibly running kids to lessons or games.
There are many different schedules possible in being part time nanny, from daily care to working only a couple of days a week.
Hotel Desk Clerk – If you need an evening job, consider applying for the early evening shift at a hotel’s front desk. This is a great real-world job for gaining experience working with many types of different people. It also gives you a chance to practice customer interaction, which is necessary in every job.
On Campus Assistant – This is one of the more common part time jobs for college students, but don’t count it out. There are numerous types of opportunities on a college campus.
You can work at the fitness center, as a library or media assistant, or take shifts monitoring a computer lab. Check with the career services office at your school to see what they have available.
Aerobics Instructor – Speaking of the fitness center, if you’re really into taking care of your body, you might want to consider becoming a class instructor at a local gym.
These positions don’t take a ton of time, and the timing is consistent. You’ll have the added benefit of getting a great workout in every time you earn your paycheck!
Retail/Food Service – Okay, it has to be said. These are the first things that pop into people’s minds, but that’s for a reason. They’re the most easily found jobs.
